In my final semester, I changed my camera to z7ii and finally had some time to put my eyes back to the town I lived for all these years. It is truly an Nostalgia moment, and I’ll try to keep as much record as possible.

This was initially a stress test for my new 45MP camera, but I found the beauty of branches and leaves in the process.

It turns out that there are more parks and towns than I expected around Champaign. I drove to one everyday after class.

It is my first time shooting star sky at night. I learned to use tripods and manual exposure techniques, and got used to standing in freezing winds!

The abundance of animals is also a reason why I like this place.

In freezing winter of Illinois, nothing is better than a warm room with light.

The city I’m moving to in the following months.

My third trip to Japan in winter 2024 with similar old friends as those back in 2022. I had the chance to see more snowy scenes.

I traveled to various places in the US during my junior year, checking out many places I haven’t been to.

It sometimes feels like Canada.

I lived in Chicago during the summer.

A small city on the border of Illinois and Missouri.

It was a wonderful break from school.

We drove down highway 1 and encountered unique views.

We visited northern Michigan again after in fall of 2023 the previous round trip.

When I came back to China during 2023, I stopped for 3 days in Hong Kong before returning to my hometown Shenzhen.

I used to be using Sony a6500 and a7iii during high school before switching to Nikon system. Those are my early shots particularly on “large zoom lens.”
